The European Copyright Society has 22 academic members. Membership  is based on invitation. New  members will be invited as existing members retire or become inactive.

Membership of the European Copyright Society is open to academics with a proven record of critical scholarship in the field of European copyright law, upon invitation by the acting Chair.

Members are expected to abide by the Society’s core principle of complete academic independence.

Members should regularly participate in, and actively contribute to, the meetings, conferences, opinions and other activities of the Society. Inactivity may result in forfeiture of membership.
